I look forward to see you all in London!Yours, Luigi FranzoniPresident EALE Call for PapersThe 34th Annual Conference of the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE) will be held on 14-16 September 2017 in London, UK.The conference starts on Thursday 14 at 9am and ends on Saturday 16 at 1pm.There will be a keynote lecture on Law and Happiness delivered by Bruno Frey (University of Basel) and a round table discussion on the Economic Impact of Legal Tech directed by Bruno Deffains (University of Paris II and the University of Liverpool).Please visit:http://eale.orgfor additional information. The submission system will open on 6 March 2017. Topics: We encourage the submission of new, creative, and also unorthodox ideas. Policy papers are also highly welcome. They will review the papers and recommend session panels to the Program Committee, which bears ultimate responsibility for defining the program. Regular/Short Papers: The conference will allow for the presentation of “regular papers” (30 minutes for presentation, comments, and general discussion) and of “short papers” (with an overall time of 15 minutes, and no assigned commentator). The short paper format is open to all: it provides a format for accomplished scholars intending to present new ideas in a more initial phase and/or for the presentation of parts of a PhD thesis by young scholars. Short papers will be presented in separate concurrent sessions. Authors may submit their papers either to both formats or may deliberately opt for one single option. There will be no poster sessions. Awards: Young scholars (who have received their Ph.D. not more than two years prior to the Conference) are invited to enter the competition to win the G?ran Skogh Award for the most promising paper presented at the EALE Conference. The winner will receive EUR 1,000.
